Meet Chef Aldo

 

Chef Aldo is a second generation chef, brought up in Europe surrounded by wonderful smells and tastes created by his culinary parents.

From an early age he learned about the Italian cuisine of his parent’s roots and the German dishes they were cooking in their own restaurants.

Chef Aldo started his professional career at the age of fifteen with vocational training in a large restaurant in Germany.

During his three years there he also attended culinary school and received in-depth tutoring in food science.

The next several years exposed him to different settings within the food service industry all over Europe, constantly broadening his horizons.

He worked for a large, high-quality hospitality group in several positions, planning and opening new restaurants and hotels with their food outlets, and instructing on operational processes.

He also went to Thailand to learn Asian culinary art.

Chef Aldo continued to study his profession in schools and was awarded a master chef degree. He is also a certified trainer and completed his master’s degree in commerce.

To make his life complete, he married a trained chef and is therefore surrounded by great food not just at work, but at home as well.

Good Luck brought him to Canada. After three years in the exciting city of Toronto, where he organized many high profile catering events, he has become an expert in the North American cooking style.

Now, in his new home near beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia, he has been able to fulfill his life long dream in establishing his own company

Chef Aldo is a member of the Canadian Personal Chef Alliance and the European Chef Alliance, and is becoming active in other culinary organizations as well.
